This Wiki is based on the gameplay of this Egosoft release at version v3.0.
It is highly moddable, though according to uploaded game statistics a smaller proportion of players mod it in comparison to its predecessor. Terran Conflict uses the same engine as Reunion, but with an improved menu system, a yet bigger universe, and some new ship classes. It is widely held to be the best game of the series. X3: Terran Conflict is a 2008 stand-alone expansion for X3: Reunion.
