This first episode is on the heavy side with all the setting-up required to show us what the outcast’s life was like before the big twist, but I also think there’s room in there to add cute, funny touches. It’s partly because the show deals with issues like bullying in a rather stark light, and partly because this is also a mystery-thriller on top of being a school drama.
